Program Overview
A chemistry minor will prepare students with an understanding of the fundamentals of chemistry as well as giving them experience with organic, inorganic, physical, and biochemistry. A minor could help prepare studies for graduate school in the natural sciences or medicine.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
Graduates will gain a basic understanding in chemistry which could complement their major area of study and enable students to think in a more interdisciplinary manner. Examples of careers that could benefit from a minor in chemistry include medicine, pharmacy, biomedical research, law (especially patent law in the sciences) and chemical, civil and biomedical engineering.

Minor Hours Requirement
The chemistry minor requires a minimum of 20 hours. Required Courses

All chemistry laboratory courses have a consumable materials fee. In addition, students must purchase a $20 breakage card from the Office of the Bursar, the unused portion of which will be refunded. |
