Physiology of Exercise - Research

Program Overview: The Master of Science in Physiology of Exercise allows students to specialize in the knowledge and skills required to work in a research/academic environment of exercise physiology. The research specialization is a two-year program that requires the completion of a master’s thesis. In this concentration students typically complete most of their required coursework in the first year and dedicate most of their second year to the completion of the thesis requirement.
Admissions Policy: No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
Change Policy: No selective or limited admission requirements.
Transfer Policy: No requirements beyond university admission requirements.
Opportunities: This program is designed to prepare students to work in an academic or research environment. A strong background in biological sciences, including organic chemistry, physics, calculus, human anatomy, physiology and exercise physiology is recommended.

Program Requirements
All Physiology Exercise degree candidates must complete the following core courses: Research Concentration
The research specialization is a two-year program that requires the completion of a master’s thesis. This concentration requires the completion of coursework, which includes six hours dedicated to the completion of the thesis. This program is designed to prepare students to work in an academic or research environment. A strong background in biological sciences, including organic chemistry, physics, calculus, human anatomy, physiology and exercise physiology is recommended.
