The Middle Childhood Education master’s program is not currently accepting new students.

The Middle Childhood master’s program is offered for applicants seeking an initial Ohio teaching license for grades 4-9. A program of study will be developed to prepare the candidate for teaching in two areas of concentration.

Applications who are admitted to the Middle Childhood Education Master’s with Licensure program choose two areas of concentration as their teaching field:

• Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies

A program of study will be developed to recognize prior academic study in one or both areas of concentration and to prepare the candidate for professional teaching practice in the middle grades classroom.
