Mission
Ohio University’s Department of Athletic Training challenges students intellectually, professionally, and personally through mentored education and service to the campus and community. With research at its focus, the program instills evidence-based clinical practice with an emphasis on medically underserved populations and emerging practice settings.
*Athletic Training was previously a division in the School of Applied Health Sciences and Wellness (AHSW) within the College of Health Sciences and Professions. Its elevation to department status is anticipated to be approved at the June 2024 Ohio University Board of Trustees meeting.
Student Organizations
Athletic Training Student Organization
The purpose of the Student Athletic Training Club is to help promote the profession of Athletic Training. This task will be completed through education, community service, building professional relationships with social events, and professional development within state, regional, and national AT organizations. This organization is open to both undergraduate students interested in pursuing athletic training as a career and Master of Science in Athletic Training students.
