ENG 6910 - Apprenticeship in Teaching This course prepares graduate teaching assistants to teach undergraduate courses other than English 1510 by apprenticing with a faculty member who is teaching an undergraduate course in the Department of English.
Requisites: ENG 5890 & ENG 5950 & Permission required Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 120.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 8.0 internship Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,CR,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to design effective syllabi and instructional methods (both online and face-to-face) for an undergraduate course.
- Students will be able to apply appropriate grading tools and metrics to student work.
- Students will be able to develop and facilitate effective classroom activities.
- Students will be able to analyze and evaluate teaching strategies and their relationships to course content and learning outcomes.
