THAR 4600 - Practicum in Stage Management: Senior Project Supervised practical experience in stage managing of School of Theater or related production.
Requisites: (6 Hours in THAR 2600 or 3600) and (THAR 3610 concurrent) Credit Hours: 3 - 6 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing, Capstone: Capstone or Culminating Experience Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 18.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to disseminate through communication channels necessary information for all production area member groups.
- Students will be able to exhibit and maintain professional standards.
- Students will be able to organize and run production meetings.
- Students will be able to organize and coordinate rehearsals and performances.
- Students will be able to prepare a production log/prompt book listing all cues, blocking, script changes, and any other information relevant to the efficient management of the production.
- Students will be able to develop problem solving and collaborative skills while organizing and collaborating with a production team
- Students will be able to critically state, describe, and consider an issue or problem and share that information with the production team.
- Students will be able to develop skills to effectively communicate with a diverse team of theater makers.
