GK 1120 - Beginning Greek II Introduction to reading classical Greek, continued. Conclusion of study of elementary grammar and reading classical texts that are increasingly complex and less adapted. At completion, ready to begin reading Homer, Plato, the New Testament, or other Greek classics.
Requisites: GK 1110 Credit Hours: 4 General Education Code (students who entered prior to Fall 2021-22): 2CP Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Appreciate the commonalities and differences of ancient Greek and modern American cultures.
- Complete learning of verb forms and consolidate control of noun/adjective forms.
- Learn basic verb syntax.
- Read extensively from connected Greek prose passages.
