CHEM 4941 - Undergraduate Research Independent research for qualified students in chemistry and biochemistry.
Requisites: Permission required and 20 hours in CHEM and Sr only Credit Hours: 3 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing, Capstone: Capstone or Culminating Experience General Education Code (students who entered prior to Fall 2021-22): 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 9.0 research Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to identify and consider real-world research questions in a research lab setting.
- Students will be able to use information gained from both their academic background and prior scientific literature to interpret and analyze larger research questions.
- Students will be able to examine and decipher facts from assumptions in an applied context.
- Students will be able to use research experiences to develop new perspectives that can subsequently drive innovation.
