ART 1151 - Introduction to Painting Introduction to Painting develops fundamental skills and techniques in painting with emphasis on creative expression, perception, and composition. No previous art experience is required. Designed for the non-art student in the general university seeking an appreciation and heightened understanding of art and art practices. Students will gain experience and direct knowledge from hands-on exploration in a variety of approaches to painting.
Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 4.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Build knowledge and understanding of basic art vocabulary and concepts.
