GEOG 3150 - Landforms and Landscapes A topical approach to the study of landforms and landforming processes as fundamental elements of the physical environment. Includes landforms created by tectonism, volcanism, gravity, streams, glaciers, waves, and the wind.
Requisites: GEOG 1100 or GEOL 1010 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to analyze landscapes to determine the landforms present and processes by which they formed.
- Students will be able to explain the principal ways in which geomorphic agents erode, transport, and deposit rock material at the earth’s surface.
- Students will understand how forces inside the earth work to create relief at the surface.
