SWAH 2120 - Intermediate Swahili II Continuation of 2110. Second course of two-semester intermediate-level sequence. Although this course will rely on the knowledge gained in the fall semester, it is designed to take the learner deeper into Swahili structure and grammar as well as provide a deeper understanding of Swahili and East African culture in general. The reading passages will be longer, the written compositions longer and more abstract. Students will be expected to develop their abilities in debating and expressing abstract ideas and concepts. A lot of emphasis will be placed on communicative skills and comprehension of Swahili material both written and oral.
