HIST 133 - Introduction to Non-Western History Since 1750


Introduces cross-cultural perspectives in non-Western history. Focus is on the major themes in human development, such as the rise of nationalism, modernization, and Westernization, in order to understand the nature of global and cultural interaction in the modern era.

Prerequisites: NOT HIST 131
Credit Hours: 4

Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
