EDTE 371B - Instructional Adaptations for Learners with Exceptionalities and Diverse Needs–Secondary Course combines with clinical/field experience to develop skills needed by educators at the adolescent to young adult levels in order to work with learners who have exceptionalities and diverse needs in inclusive classrooms. Content includes curriculum modifications, selection and appropriate uses of reading materials, instructional and reading adaptations, classroom management adaptations, effective collaboration strategies, accessing related and support services, and skills required for instructing and managing an inclusive classroom.
Prerequisites: ADM TO ADV STAN IN PROF EDUC & 2.75 GPA Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
